Ulm Natural History Museum
Two museums in Ulm are merging: since January 1, 2026, the Ulm Natural History Museum has been structurally affiliated with the Museum Museum. Previously, it was part of the City of Ulm’s Department of Education and Sports.
About the Ulm Natural History Museum
For over 100 years, the Ulm Natural History Museum has been offering insights into Ulm’s prehistory and the natural diversity of our region. The exhibition features detailed preserved fish dinosaurs from the Jurassic Sea, remains of Ulm tusked elephants, glowing minerals, giant insects, bears, beavers, and much more. Various interactive exhibition elements make the museum accessible to all the senses.
The current special exhibition “Am Busen der Natur” (At the Heart of Nature) runs until March 22, 2026, and showcases proverbs and idioms inspired by Nature. It not only draws parallels with the German language, but also invites visitors to puzzle and participate.
The permanent exhibition is suitable for all age groups, school grades, and visitors. A variety of guided tours can be booked to suit specific areas of interest. Bookings are available for kindergarten groups, families, schools, and interested groups. The museum also offers a special experience for company outings or children’s birthday parties.
