The Ulm Museum is an ensemble of five old buildings from different centuries. How have they grown together over time?
The Ulm Museum is currently being renovated and remodelled, but we are opening the doors on Open Monument Day. We invite you to take part in guided tours of the building site, which will give you an idea of the exciting history of the ensemble and how we deal with the architecture today.
Some of the museum’s buildings date back to the time when Ulm was a medieval imperial city. The oldest parts of the building date back to at least the first half of the 15th century and are connected by more recent intermediate buildings. What exciting things have happened since then? Numerous changes over the centuries can still be seen today and are being documented as part of the current renovation and remodelling work. Come along and see for yourself what secrets have come to light through our building site that have long been hidden and will soon be hidden again.
