From M for memes to Z for numbers: Museum Ulm’s guest appearance in the neighbouring kunsthalle weishaupt continues with the exhibition ‘Museum neu buchstabiert. Part 2: M-Z’ (A New Spelling of Museum. part 2: M-Z) from 23 November 2024 extended until 5 October 2025.
What do Alamannic pearl necklaces from the 5th-7th centuries have to do with today’s gold cufflinks? Curiosity, amazement and the joy of beautiful, skilfully crafted things are deeply human – and the leitmotifs of this exhibition.
The Lion Man has also been on display there since January 2024: one of the oldest known figurative works of art in the world and a masterpiece from the UNESCO World Heritage Caves and Ice Age Art of the Swabian Alb.
