What does a museum collect? What do we want to preserve, what is important for us and our history? What is art and what may vanish?
Up to ninety percent of all museum collections cannot be seen in exhibitions. They wait in the depots for rediscovery or restoration. The exhibition Sachen gibt’s! is a plea for the opening of the collection depots. It aims to provide a stage for rediscovery, to track down stories and to serve the search for one’s own self-image. You can only understand what the Museum Ulm is if you know what the Museum Ulm owns.
